Canadian Ultimate Championships 2013

I recently hung out in Vancouver, Canada to shoot the Canadian Ultimate Championships. This is the first year Ultimate Canada has held to Junior Open & Women’s tournament separate to the Adult Open, Women, Mixed, Master Open, Master Women. Ultiphotos asked me to shoot with them so I covered some Mens Masters teams for them. It was a privilege working with Jeff and Kurtis at field level. Here are some of my favourites 🙂 You can buy any prints or downloads straight from Ultiphotos!

I rented a 300 f2.8 VR nikkor from Vistek. I was supposed to get the 200-400 f4 VRII but they double booked it. They took care of me though and made sure I had something sufficient to catch the action. All I can say is that lens is tack sharp! I shot with it on a D700 + MB-D10 grip and had a D800e with either a 28-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8 VRII, or 14-24 f2.8 attached. The RRS monopod was a lifesaver with the nikkor 300 f2.8!
